Psst

Privacy policy

Last updated: October 5, 2026

Overview

Psst is a private two-person app for sharing short doodles, notes, and photos. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and how you can control it.

Information we collect

Account details you provide (name, email, password). Pairing data (your pair code and who you’re paired with). Content you create in Psst (doodles, stickers, text, and photos you choose to send). Device tokens used to deliver push notifications when a new Psst arrives. Basic technical logs needed to keep the service reliable and secure.

How we use information

We use your information to create and secure your account, connect you with your pair partner, sync the latest Psst to the app and home-screen widget, send optional notifications, and improve reliability. We do not sell your personal information or show third-party ads in Psst.

Sharing

Your Pssts are shared only with the person you’re paired with. We use trusted infrastructure providers (including Firebase Authentication, Firestore, Storage, and push delivery) to operate the app. Those providers process data only to provide their services to us.

Photos & media

Photos you attach are uploaded so your partner (and your widget) can see them. Don’t send anything you wouldn’t want your partner to keep. You can leave a pair at any time; that stops new sharing with that partner.

Notifications

If you allow notifications, we store a device push token so we can whisper when they send something new. You can turn notifications off in Settings (or in system settings) at any time.

Data retention

Account and pairing data stay while your account exists. Pair content may remain available to your partner until it’s replaced or the pair ends. You can sign out anytime. To request account deletion or a data export, contact us using the email below.

Account deletion

You can delete your Psst account in the app (Settings → Delete account) or directly on the account deletion page by signing in with your email and password. Deletion leaves any pair, removes your profile data from our servers, and deletes your authentication account. Pair content already on a partner’s device may remain until they remove or replace it.

Children

Psst is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Security

We use industry-standard authentication and encrypted connections. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure; please use a strong password and keep your device locked.

Changes

We may update this policy as Psst evolves. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page will change when we do.
